How to Volunteer While Socially Distancing

As we move together through these unprecedented times, many of us would like to volunteer and help others. However, we must be vigilant in how we serve the community as to not continue the spread of COVID-19 especially to those who are at high risk. We recognize your desire to help your neighbors, community, and those in need and have put together some ways you can make a positive impact without putting others at risk. As always, thank you for Serving Jersey City.

Wellness Checks
Take the time out to check on those you know might not have anyone else to keep tabs on them. Quarentine might be a particularly lonely time for many. Pick up the phone, send a text, email, or even write a letter.

Create Hygienic Bags
Many people are at risk on a daily basis. Put together small bags that include sanitary products like soap, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.

Donate to a Food Bank or Shelter
Food and supply shortages pose a threat to capacity for many Food Banks and Shelters. Contact to see how you can help ensure they can remain well stocked:

Support Non-Profits
During times of crisis, non-profits need help more than ever to ensure their communities are well served. They need your help!

Donate Blood
Those who need it the most, need it more than ever. See how you can donate in your area:
