Description & History

The Sgt. Anthony Park Neighborhood Association was formed in 1994 to improve the environment of our neighborhood, to provide information and services to our residents concerning civic institutions and affairs, to work for the safety, cleanliness, and beautification of our area, and to promote community values so that we may enjoy a higher quality of life. The renovation of the Park was the spur to our formation.

We help the city maintain the community garden and dog run in the park and sponsor an annual park cleanup each Spring.

Representatives from the Police Department, Department of Public Works, Neighborhood Improvement and the Mayor's Office attend our meetings, give reports and take comments from members.

We have conducted sucessful campaigns to preserve the tranquiltity and residential character of the neighborhood and the unique view of the skyline affored by our location on the majestic Palisade cliffs. Our slogan,  "Neighbors with a View" references both the physical view and our point of view and opinions.
