Description & History

C.E.R.T. volunteers prepare for and respond to all types of emergencies that the community may face, such as flooding, snowstorms, power outages, shelter management and health pandemics. Through hands-on practice and realistic exercises, C.E.R.T. members:

  • learn how to prepare yourself,  family and home for small and large emergencies
  • learn how to safely respond to manmade and natural disasters
  • help organize basic disaster response
  • assist in community events during non-emergency times
