Volunteer opportunity description

CASA volunteers are ordinary people – men and women, students and executives, retirees and busy professionals - who have the opportunity to influence a foster child’s life across many significant and far-reaching life concerns such as medical care, academics, and enrichment activities.  We are looking for individuals with a desire to help children and a willingness to commit themselves to a foster child in need of the unique one-on-one attention of a CASA volunteer.

The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend an information session. Please join us for a half-hour to learn how you can make a difference in a foster child’s life. We look forward to sharing more with you about CASA’s important work!

For more information, or to RSVP for an information session, please visit:  www.hudsoncountycasa.org.

  • Be at least 21 years-old and pass a background check free of criminal activity.
  • Attend an information session and schedule an interview with CASA volunteer coordinator.
  • Successfully complete a 30-hour training course.
  • Commit to your case for at least one year, and ideally until it closes.
